House Dra-Kohhn is one of the most revered noble houses in Neurogard, descended from the ancient Dragon Kin whose mastery of fire, metallurgy, and Neuroessence discipline allows them to perform one of the most dangerous tasks in the world: the forging of Chaos Orbs. Within the infernal foundries of the Forge of Wyrm-Blood, the artisans of the house stabilize fragments of Ky’os energy—an art no other kingdom has mastered—making them indispensable to the balance of power across the Eleven Kingdoms. Yet from this respected lineage emerged a dangerous deviation. Draxion, a rogue Dragon Kin who abandoned the traditions of his house, now leads the Flameblade Ascendancy, a radical warhost devoted to experimenting with the infusion of draconic blood and volatile Neuroessence into human warriors. Where House Dra-Kohhn tempers Chaos with discipline, Draxion seeks to weaponize it through transformation, creating soldiers who burn with unstable dragonfire and embody a terrifying question for Neurogard: whether power should be controlled… or evolved.

Operating in the chilling silence between heartbeats, the Shadowfall Syndicate serves as the lethal, unseen hand of House Firrianith, specializing in "variable deletion" to preserve NeuroGard’s fragile stability. Far more than a mere spy network, the Syndicate utilizes the terrifying power of the Mental Veil—a psychic discipline that physically deletes an operative's presence from an observer’s consciousness. While the rest of the planet looks to the Emerald Grooves for life-sustaining medicines, the Syndicate’s elite operatives move through the shadows of every major House, armed with bio-luminescent Void-Steel blades and precision longbows. They are the ultimate correction mechanism, ensuring that the ancient secrets of NeuroGard remain buried and that any threat to the Natural Equilibrium is silenced with a single, invisible strike.

House Aeternum Ka rules the Sepulcher of the Golden Thread, a kingdom where the boundaries between life, mind, and machine have been deliberately erased. Through the sacred nanotechnological network known as the Golden Thread, the warriors of Aeternum Ka fight as the Eternal Legion, their bodies reconstructed and their consciousness preserved within a shared lattice that binds every soldier to the will of the House. To outsiders the Legion appears unnervingly immortal—fallen warriors rising again upon the battlefield as if death itself has been rewritten. To House Aeternum Ka, this is not defiance of nature, but the perfection of it: a civilization where continuity of purpose matters more than the fragility of the individual body.

House Valecant of the Covenant March wields one of the most subtle and formidable powers in Neurogard: belief. Through the vast religious network of the Aethyric Covenant, the house spreads devotion to Aethyrion, the Dreaming Architect, shaping the minds and loyalties of the masses across the Eleven Kingdoms. Their Mandate force, the Omega Coalition, led by Ethera and Neramir, serves as both army and instrument of faith—zealous warriors, temple guardians, and Neuroessence-wielding clerics who fight to preserve the Planetary Pulse and guide Neurogard toward divine order. Wealthy, influential, and deeply embedded in the spiritual life of the world, House Valecant does not simply pursue the throne through strength alone—they seek to ensure that when the Nexus Mandate is decided, the people already believe their rule is destiny.

In Neurogard, a Freeblade is a warrior who walks beyond the banners of the Eleven Kingdoms—unbound by House, Mandate, or Nexus oath. Some were once soldiers of great forces, others shattered survivors of Chaos breaches, rogue scholars of Neuroessence, or hunters who stalk the fractured edges of the world where Chaos Bleed gathers. What defines a Freeblade is not allegiance but will: they wield their training, technology, and Inner Monolith as their own sovereign command, selling their skill to kingdoms, protecting frontier settlements, hunting shard-smugglers, or pursuing private vendettas against the Ky’os Reavers. In a world held together by fragile Nexus order, Freeblades are living anomalies—dangerous, independent figures who operate in the spaces where law weakens and survival depends on the strength of a single mind.

The Resonance Guard are the elite defenders of Neurogard’s Great Nexus, warriors whose bodies, armor, and minds are harmonized with the Planetary Pulse to stabilize reality against the corrupting influence of Chaos. Serving the Unsleeping King, they wield disciplined Neuroessence through advanced resonance technology—projecting shields, blades, containment beams, and geometric lattices that reinforce the world where the Ripple threatens to fracture it.
